Performance metrics are an important tool during development since they give a better idea of how your processor will behave in the “real
world.” The tools we used for performance testing include Hspice and Crystal, and additionally Irsim for higher-level functionality testing.
This section focuses on Hspice and Crystal, but you can find extensive Irsim testing of our processor under the Circuit Design section, marked as Irsim Testing. Clock speed analysis can be found here. The thumbnails represent HSpice tests, and beside the
thumbnail for each section below you can link to the corresponding Irsim and Crystal tests. Click the thumbnail for a larger version of the picture.
